In addition to Nine Days, author Toni Jordan has received many accolades for her other novels – most notably The Fragments and Addition, which pre-date her novel Nine Days, that ventures into the lives of everyday Australians living in the outer suburbs of Melbourne, Victoria during the prelude to World War 2. Ambitious in its span across decades, Nine Days was shortlisted for the Colin Roderick Award in 2013 and the Australian Book Industry Award, but was awarded Best Fiction at the prestigious Indie Awards in 2017.
